Keuka College Cross Country Competes at Cazenovia

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. – The Keuka College Cross Country teams competed at the 2015 Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational on Saturday. The event was ran at the Jamesville Beach Park.

The Women's Cross Country team finished in 6th place at meet. The Men's team ended up 12th.

Brooke Lalone continues to pace the Keuka women. She finished 17th in the 6k race with a time of 25:10. Mariah Sergent and Jennifer Vigo continued their strong seasons, finishing seconds apart from each other. Sergent finished in 36th place, running the course in 27 minutes. Vigo crossed the line five seconds later in 27:05, good for 38th place.

Freshman Mack Ottensran well for Keuka. He crossed the finish line in 42nd place with a team of 30:23 to lead the Wolfpack. Much like the women, second and third for Keuka finished five seconds apart. Sam Brown ran the 8k race in 33:46 and Cliff Stevens finished with a time of 33:51. The two came in 76th and 79th place respectively.

Keuka College will have two weeks off to rest and prepare for the CCOC Championships on Saturday, October 17. The race will be held in Geneva, N.Y. at Seneca Lake State Park.
