Keuka College's women's cross country team traveled down the road to Geneva, N.Y. to compete in the annual Hobart College Invitational, and the Storm placed sixth on a rainy Saturday morning.
Freshman Victoria Grisdale (Hilton, NY/Hilton) took first among the Storm's student-athletes for the second straight meet.
In a field of 68 runners, Grisdale completed the 6K course in a time of 28 minutes and 33 seconds at Seneca Lake State Park.
Grisdale placed 22nd among scoring runners as the Storm scored 153 points.
SUNY ESF won the team championship with 40 points, narrowly besting William Smith College (47). Morrisville State was third with 78 points, followed by Hilbert College (105), D'Youville College (108) and the Storm.
Morrisville State senior Billie Jo Hinds captured the individual title with a time of 24:50.
For the second straight meet, sophomore Allison Bonin (Orwell, Pa./Northeast Bradford) was Keuka's second fastest runner, racing in 28:58 to place 25th among scoring runners.
Sophomore Jennifer Vigo (Watervilet, NY/Shaker) was 34th in a time of 31:46, sophomore Caitlin Jones (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) finished 35th with a time of 32:09 and junior Erica Pendrak (New York Mills, NY/New York Mills) was 37th with a time of 33:28.
After the Hobart Invitational, the Green and Gold will compete in the annual SUNYIT Wildcat Invitational at 11 a.m. Sept. 28 and at the Cazenovia Invitational (Oct. 5) before closing with the annual CCOC Championships (Oct. 19) and the NEAC Championships (Nov. 2).
