The Keuka College women's cross country team competed in the annual North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championships, and the Storm concluded the 2013 season with an eighth-place finish Saturday in Marcy, N.Y.
Keuka scored 209 points to place eighth out of 11 teams.
Sophomore Allison Bonin (Orwell, Pa./Northeast Bradford) placed 30th in a time of 24 minutes and 15 seconds on the 5K course, finishing as the Storm's fastest runner for the second time this year. She placed either first or second on the Storm in all seven races.
SUNY Cobleskill repeated as NEAC champions, scoring 67 points to edge Morrisville State (71) and Cazenovia (76) for the team title. Wells College was fourth with 82 points, followed by Penn State-Abington (104), Penn State-Berks (163), Lancaster Bible College (201), Keuka, host SUNYIT (220), St. Elizabeth (259) and Gallaudet (269).
Morrisville State senior Billie Jo Hinds won the individual title in a time of 20:37, besting Wells' Emily Middlebrook by five seconds for the championship.
After Bonin, sophomore Caitlin Jones (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) was 38th among scoring runners with a time of 25:16. Sophomore Jennifer Vigo (Watervilet, NY/Shaker) placed 43rd with a time of 25:53, junior Elizabeth Ryan (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) was 48th with a time of 26:29 and sophomore Jeanette Bobier (Windsor, NY/Windsor) finished 50th in 26:45.
Keuka competed without freshman Victoria Grisdale (Hilton, NY/Hilton), who has been battling an injury and who was the Storm's fastest finisher in five of six meets heading into NEAC's.
