HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team defeated Utica College, but lost to SUNY Cortland to end their 2016 season on Saturday.
Keuka College finishes the season with a 13-14 record overall. They previously ended North Eastern Athletic Conference play with a 7-6 record.
Tally McDonald led the Wolves with eight kills against Utica College. Meghan Calhoun and Jadine Buddingh each added eight in the win. Alyssa Rex finished with 21 assists and Kayla Brown added 11 assists for Keuka College.
The Wolves got out to a strong start against Utica to start the day. Keuka College hit .429 in the first set with 12 kills against just three errors. Keuka College cruised to the 25-11 set victory. The next two sets were more tightly played, but Keuka was able to prevail 25-22 in the second and 26-24 in the third to win the match in straight sets.
The Red Dragons swept the match against Keuka College. SUNY Cortland won the first set 25-19, second set 25-12, and third set 25-16 to defeat the Wolves 3-0.
