KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team lost to Pitt.-Bradford in three sets on Wednesday night at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
Keuka (12-11, 7-6 NEAC) will finish their 2016 season this weekend playing at Houghton College in the Highlander Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Jadine Buddingh and Meghan Calhoun each notched nine kills in the match to lead Keuka. Senior Kate Burke finished with 20 digs in her final home match. Fellow seniors Tally McDonald, Rachel Bartosz, and Rachel Elliot had five, four and three kills respectively in their last match at Keuka College.
Pitt.-Bradford jumped out to a fast start over the Wolves. They led by as many as 10 points in the set. Keuka put together a late rally, but Pitt.-Bradford held on for the 25-19 set win.
It was Keuka College who took had a fast start in the second set. The Wolves led by as many as eight points in the set and held a 22-18 lead over the Panthers. Pitt.-Bradford rallied to tie the set at 23-23. The two teams traded points, but Pitt.-Bradford pulled it out in the end, winning the second set 28-26.
The Wolves led in the third set as well, but Pitt.-Bradford went on a seven point run to take the lead in the third on their way to the 25-19 set victory, winning the match 3-0.
