MARCY, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team lost on Sunday afternoon to hosts SUNY Poly in four sets in a North Eastern Athletic Conference match.
Today marked the final conference regular season game for Keuka College. With the loss, the Wolves (12-10, 7-6 NEAC) will not qualify for the conference tournament. Keuka College will play their final home game on Wednesday night, hosting Pitt.-Bradford at 7pm/
Lauren Moelbert led Keuka with 13 kills in the match. Tally McDonald was also in double-digits with 10 kills. Facilitating the offense for Keuka College was sophomore Alyssa Rex. She had a match-high 38 assists on Sunday.
SUNY Poly jumped on the Wolves early. They convincingly took the first set 25-12. Keuka College battled the Wildcats in the second set. SUNY Poly used many small runs on their way to the 25-19 set victory, taking a 2-0 advantage in the match.
Keuka College continued to battle. They fought in the third set, tying it at 20-20. The Wolves and Wildcats volleyed points back and forth, but Keuka College pulled it out following a kill by Tally McDonald to win the third set 25-23. SUNY Poly responded, however, winning the fourth set 25-20, taking the match 3-1.
