Women’s Volleyball Loses at Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, D.C.  – The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team fell on the road at Gallaudet University in straight sets in a North Eastern Athletic Conference match on Saturday.

The Wolves (10-8, 5-4 NEAC) remain in Washington, D.C. on Sunday to play Wilson College at Gallaudet.

Meghan Calhoun led the Green and Gold with eight kills in the match. Kate Burke led the Wolves with 13 digs. Alyssa Rex finished with 22 assists and added 10 digs in the match.

Gallaudet used some early Keuka errors to build a lead. The Bison led by as many as nine points in the first sit as they went on to the 25-16 set victory.

Keuka found themselves behind again in the second. Trailing 17-10, the Green and gold went on a run. The Wolves converted seven straight points to tie the set at 17-17. The set played back and forth, becoming tied at 23-23. Gallaudet got a pair of late points, however, to win the second set 25-23 and take a 2-0 lead in the match.

The Bison closed out the match by once again building an early lead. Much like the second, the Wolves rallied to make it a one point set at 19-18, but Gallaudet was too much as they would win the set 25-20 and the match 3-0.
