KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team dropped a North Eastern Athletic Conference match on Tuesday to Wells College in straight sets at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Complex.
The Wolves (9-6, 5-3 NEAC) get back at it right away, hosting Alfred University in a non-conference match on Wednesday night.
The first set saw Keuka College fall behind early. The Wolves mounted a comeback late in the set. They rallied from 24-19 down to tie the match, but Wells pulled out the first set 27-25.
The second set followed a similar pattern as the Express got up early on the Wolves. Keuka began a rally again, this time at 24-17. The Green and Gold scored six straight points, but Wells got a kill to end the second set 25-23.
The third set was back and forth between the two teams. In the end, Wells converted three straight points for the 25-21 set victory, winning the match 3-0.
Keuka College held the advantage with 36 kills to Wells' 32. But the Green and Gold hit 0.069 on the night and Wells College only hit 14 errors in the win.
