BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team swept a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference matches on Sunday at a conference crossover hosted by Bryn Athyn College.
Keuka College (5-3, 2-1 NEAC) defeated St. Elizabeth 3-0 and Bryn Athyn 3-0. The Wolves will return to action next weekend as they host a conference crossover of their own, facing Penn College, Penn St.-Berks, and Lancaster Bible College.
The Green and Gold spread out their offense against the Eagles of St. Elizabeth. Tally McDonald and Lauren Moelbert led the team with eight kills apiece. Rachel Bartosz added four aces and Alyssa Rex finished with 34 assists.
The Wolves controlled the match against St. Elizabeth. They won the opening set against the Eagles 25-14. Keuka won the second set by the same score in an impressive offensive performance. They had 18 kills in the set against just one error in 28 attempts for a hitting percentage of 0.607. The Green and Gold closed out the match with a 25-9 win in the third set.
In the second game of the afternoon against Bryn Athyn College, Tally McDonald led the Wolves again. She had a match-high 11 kills against the Lions. Kate Warren added nine in the win and Alyssa Rex added 29 assists.
Keuka College defeated Bryn Athyn in straight sets. They took the first set 25-17, using a six point run to secure the set. Keuka jumped out to an early lead in the second set, but Bryn Athyn scored six points to take the lead back. The Wolves pulled away at the end, capping a 25-19 set victory with a kill by McDonald. The Green and Gold had 20 kills in the final set, winning the third 25-17 and closing out the match 3-0.
