KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Behind 20 aces, Keuka College defeated Hilbert College in four sets to sweep the day on Saturday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Earlier in the day, Keuka defeated SUNY Delhi in straight sets.
The Wolves (3-1) take to the road for the next match as the travel to the Rochester Institute of Technology to face the Tigers on Tuesday night.
Jadine Buddingh led the Wolves with nine kills in their match against SUNY Delhi.
The Green and Gold controlled the match against the Broncos. Keuka outhit SUNY Delhi with 32 kills to their nine. The Wolves took the match in straight sets, winning 25-12, 25-10, 25-11.
Keuka College's serving was the story in the nightcap against Hilbert. The Green and Gold totaled 20 aces in the four set match, the third most in school history. The effort was led by Kate Burke who tied the school record for aces in a four set match with seven. Rachel Bartosz added five aces and Alyssa Rex finished with four.
Not to be overlooked is the Keuka College defense. They allowed just 29 kills on the day, allowing just over four a set. As a team, the Wolves had 94 digs on the day, highlighted by Kate Burke's 24 against Hilbert.
