Women’s Volleyball Loses on the Road

BRADFORD, PA. -- The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team lost a five-set match to host University of Pittsburgh-Bradford on Wednesday night.

Bradford (11-14) took the opening set over Keuka (7-15, 5-4 NEAC) by the score of 25-16. The Green and Gold rallied to take the second 25-22. After the Panthers won the third set, Keuka took the fourth, 25-23 to force a fifth and deciding set. In a closely played set, Bradford pulled it out at the end, winning the set 15-12 and the match 3-2.

Lauren Moelbert led Keuka with a career-high 18. Also joining Moelbert with a new career high was Alyssa Rex. The freshman setter had 54 assists in the match, second most ever in a game in school history. Jadine Buddingh had a strong match with 14 kills and Rachel Elliot added 10. Kate Burke had a team-high 25 digs and freshman Emily Cottrell had 7 aces in the match. It was the most aces recorded by a Keuka player this season.

Keuka College will play their final North Eastern Athletic Conference crossover this weekend. They will face Penn St.-Abington and St. Elizabeth on Saturday. Keuka will then play Bryn Athyn on Sunday in the final NEAC match of the regular season. All three matches will be played at Cazenovia College.
