Women’s Volleyball Splits at NEAC Crossover

AURORA, N.Y. -- The Keuka College Women's Volleyball split their matches on Saturday at the North Eastern Athletic Conference crossover event at Wells College. The Wolfpack lost to the host express in three sets, but defeated Cazenovia College in straight sets to conclude the weekend.

A pair of freshmen led Keuka (4-12, 2-4) in the opening match against the Express. Lauren Moelbert had a team-high 11 kills and Alyssa Rex had 16 assists. Moelbert also added a pair of aces for Keuka.

In the nightcap, Jadine Buddingh led the team with 15 kills in the win. Moelbert was also in double digits with 10 kills. Meghan Calhoun added nine kills and had a .421 hitting percentage. Alyssa Rex led the team with 27 assists and Kayla Brown finished with 14. Kate Burke led the defensive efforts with 13 digs.

As a team, Keuka totaled 47 kills against the Wildcats. The win over Cazenovia snapped an eight match losing streak for the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack will be back in action this Friday when they travel to Alfred, N.Y. for a doubleheader. Keuka will face Alfred University at 4pm, and then drive across the street to play Alfred State at 7pm.
