ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Volleyball split a pair of games on Saturday, playing a tournament at Elmira College. The Wolfpack dropped their first match against the host Soaring Eagles in four sets, but bounced back against North Eastern Athletic Conference foe Morrisville State, defeating the Mustangs in four sets.
In the first match against Elmira College, Jadine Buddingh led the Wolfpack with six kills. It was freshman Lauren Moelbert, however, who led Keuka in total points. She finished with five kills, an ace and three block assists, totaling 7.5 points. Buddingh and Kate Burke each had nine digs in the match.
The Wolfpack bounced back with a strong showing in the second match of the day. Moelbert led the way for Keuka. The freshman had a career-high 14 kills against Morrisville State. She also added four aces and 12 digs, also career-highs. Tally McDonald and Rachel Elliot each had five kills in the win. Kate Burke had a season-high 23 digs for Keuka. Alyssa Rex also set a career-high in the match with 19 assists.
Keuka College has one more match before opening NEAC play next weekend. The Wolfpack will travel to SUNY Geneseo on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup at 7pm.
