The Keuka College women's volleyball team dropped all three matches during this weekend's 26th annual RIT Invitational in Henrietta, N.Y.
The Wolfpack (0-7) fell to The College at Brockport in four sets, losing the first two sets by scores of 26-24 and 25-14 before winning the third, 25-23. But the Golden Eagles took the fourth set 25-22 Friday night.
On Saturday, the Green and Gold were swept by Clarkson University, falling by scores of 25-14, 25-22 and 25-13.
In the final match of the competition, the host Tigers knocked off the Wolfpack in five sets. The Green and Gold lost the first set, 25-13, but won the next two by scores of 25-23 and 25-22. Needing one more set to earn their first win of the year, the Wolfpack dropped the next two sets by scores of 25-14 and 15-11.
Against Brockport, senior Devan Curtis (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente) recorded 28 digs with nine kills, freshman Katelyn Warren (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas A. Edison) added 11 kills, sophomore Kaitlin Burke (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning West) totaled 21 digs and freshman Sam Thrasher (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) had eight kills with eight digs.
Against Clarkson, sophomore Tally McDonald (Romulus, N.Y./Romulus) and freshman Jadine Buddingh (Hamilton, Ont./Academie Catholique Mere Theresa) each totaled five kills, while Warren had four kills with three blocks and senior Julia Coryell (Phelps, N.Y./Midlakes) added seven assists with three aces.
Taking on RIT, McDonald recorded 11 kills, Thrasher had seven kills, Warren had six kills and Budding recorded 15 digs with five kills in the loss.
Keuka College hosts SUNY Geneseo at 7 p.m. Wednesday night in a non-conference clash.
