The Keuka College women's volleyball team closed out the regular season with a pair of sweeps during a tri-match at Oswego State Saturday afternoon.
Keuka (23-6) swept Oswego State by scores of 25-20, 25-22 and 26-24 before dispatching of Wells College by scores of 25-18, 25-12 and 25-18.
The Storm, who earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) postseason tournament, closed the regular season on an 11-match winning streak.
Keuka will play No. 2 SUNYIT (28-4) in one semifinal at 3 p.m. Saturday while Gallaudet (21-13), the No. 1 seed, will face the winner of No. 4 Penn State-Berks (16-12) and No. 5 Lancaster Bible College (14-24) in the other semifinal.
The championship is at 1 p.m. Sunday at Gallaudet. The winner of the NEAC postseason tournament earns the conference's berth into the annual NCAA Division III tournament. Keuka last won NEAC's in 2004 and fell in the finals in 2005, 2006 and 2012.
On the last day of the regular season, senior Paige Golden (Kent, NY/Albion) recorded her 16th double-double (15 kills, 13 digs) and classmate Meg Houlihan (Elysian, MN/Minnesota State) added seven kills as the Storm swept Oswego State.
Taking on Wells, Smith had 24 digs, 3 aces and 2 assists, Nolan added 14 assists with 11 digs and Golden recorded 11 digs in the win.
Junior Danielle Alred (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) added six kills, freshman Kaitlin Burke (Painted Post, NY/Corning West) recorded seven kills with six digs and classmate Alyssa Girod (Warsaw, NY/Warsaw) had eight kills with only two errors in 23 attempts (.261 hitting percentage) to spark the Storm.
Golden, Keuka's career leader in kills, now has 1,075 career kills while Smith, the all-time digs leader, has 1,547.
