Offense Erupts in Women’s Soccer Victory

COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Soccer team netted 10 goals on the afternoon as the Wolves defeated SUNY Cobleskill 10-0 on Saturday.

Emily McGuigan led Keuka College (2-5, 1-0 NEAC) with three goals on the afternoon. Seven other Wolves scored a goal in the game, including Vera Freda, Brittany Baker, Jysenia Dunlavey, Danielle DeSimone, Kelsey Maurer, Skyler Sanborn, and Breanna Haley.

Emily McGuigan got the Wolves on the board in the 17th minute and quickly doubled up the lead in the 18th minute. The Keuka College offense would continue with five more goals in the first half and led 7-0 at the break.

In the 68th minute, Kelsey Maurer opened the second half scoring for the Green and Gold and two minutes later, Danielle DeSimone added to the lead. A goal by Skyler Sanborn capped the offensive performance as Keuka College defeated SUNY Cobleskill 10-0 on Saturday.

Coming up for Keuka College: The Wolves will return to the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Wednesday evening to host Morrisville State. Emily McGuigan scored the game winner last season when Keuka College defeated Morrisville State 3-2 in overtime.
