Women’s Golf Finishes Fifth at Empire 8 Championship

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – For the first time in program history, the Keuka College Women's Golf team competed for a conference championship. The Green and Gold teed it up this past weekend at the Empire 8 Conference Championship at Ballston Spa Country Club.

The Wolves opened the tournament with a 403 on Saturday. They shaved five strokes off the score on Sunday with a 398, posting a total score of 801 and finishing fifth in the 12 team field.

Empire 8 Women's Golf Championship – Par 72 (2 rounds)

Lead Wolf: Holly Reynolds posted a 180 for the tournament, finishing in 7th place and earning Second Team All-Empire 8 honors. She opened with an 89 and had a hold of the tournament lead six holes in. She closed the round tied for fifth. On Sunday, Reynolds shot a 91 for the Wolves

KC Notes:

  • Keuka College competed as an independent prior to this season
  • Reynolds becomes the first Keuka College student-athlete to earn All-Conference honors for the Empire 8 in any sport.

Coming up for Keuka College: The Women's Golf team now has the winter off before returning to play in April 2018.
