WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team lost 72-69 on Sunday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference matchup.

Gallaudet came out fast against the Wolves, building an early lead. Keuka got on the board midway through the quarter on a pair of free throws by Meaghan McGwin. The Wolves would settle into the game, but trailed 16-10 after the first quarter.
Keuka College cut the lead to five following a corner three by Sydney Bloom in the opening minutes. Midway through the frame, Kaitlin Snipas hit a three from the right wing to give the Wolves a 23-22 advantage. The Bison would regain the lead and remained ahead until the final minute. Sam Laranjo stole the ball and found Anna Hoover for the transition layup. Hoover was fouled and completed the three-point play as the Wolves led 33-31 at halftime.
The Bison scored early in the third to regain the lead and carried that through the quarter. The hosts shot 50% in the frame while Keuka was only 31% from the floor. Gallaudet led 51-45 following 30 minutes.
The Wolves drew the game back level in the opening minutes of the fourth. However, Gallaudet scored seven straight to lead 62-55 with five minutes left to play. Riley Record hit a corner three for the Wolves to cut the deficit to four, 66-62 with 1:45 remaining. Record would later hit a three in the final minute to make it 70-67 with 26.1 left to play. The Wolves would foul as Gallaudet went 1-2 from the line. Keuka made a put-back layup with seven seconds left to make it a two-point game, 71-69. Gallaudet again when 1-2 from the line giving the Wolves a change. Keuka raced up the court, but the buzzer-beating three went wide as Gallaudet defeated Keuka College 72-69.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold are on the road on Wednesday at SUNY Cobleskill. The Wolves and Fighting Tigers will tipoff at 7pm. Keuka College has won the last five meetings and are 18-5 overall against the Fighting Tigers.
