AURORA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team defeated Wells College on the road on Thursday night, topping the Express 66-47 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference North Division game.

After allowing the first three points of the quarter, the Wolves responded to tie the game and take the lead. In a close first quarter, the lead traded back and forth between the two teams. Lauren Anten led the Wolves with six points in the frame as Keuka led 14-12 after the first.
Keuka College scored the first five points of the second quarter as the Wolves held the Express scoreless for over three minutes to extend their lead. The Green and Gold would push their lead to double-figures on a driving layup by Sam Laranjo with minutes left in the half. In the final seconds, Brianna Legacy grabbed a rebound and went coast to coast. She dumped the ball off to Abby Hess for the layup at the buzzer to give the Wolves a 37-22 halftime lead.
The Green and Gold scored the first three of the second half, but the Express went on a 7-0 run to cut the Keuka College lead to nine, 40-31. The Wolves responded to the Express and carried a 48-38 lead in to the fourth quarter.
Keuka College put the game away in the fourth quarter. The Wolves shot 63.6% (7-11) from the floor, including hitting four three-pointers as they defeated Wells College 66-47.

- Abby Hess set a new career-high with 11 rebounds on Thursday. The senior also added five points as she surpassed 400 for her career
- Keuka College held Wells College off the scoreboard from deep as the Express went 0-7 from three-point territory. It was the first time since the season-opening game of the 2015-16 season that the Wolves did not allow a three to their opponents
Up Next for Keuka College: Thursday was the final game of the fall semester for Keuka College. The Wolves will return to action in 2019 as they host Elmira College on Monday, January 7 at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
