GANSEVOORT, N.Y. — The North Eastern Athletic Conference named their players of the week on Monday and Keuka College Softball was well represented.
Sophomore outfielder Alexa Brown had a strong week at the plate as the Wolves went 6-0 and extended their school-record winning streak to 16 games. Brown totaled nine hits on the week with five runs scored and five runs batted in. She had a three-hit performance in Keuka College's 6-1 victory over Cazenovia College. Brown drove in two runs and scored a run as well against the Wildcats.
Whitney Tyler has continued her fantastic freshman season pitching for Keuka College. The Meshoppen, Pa. native went 3-0 on the week, throwing a complete game in all three wins. Her last two outings of the week were complete game shutouts. She capped her week by throwing the second perfect game in Keuka College history as she did not allow a baserunner in Keuka's win over Morrisville State. Overall on the week, Tyler threw 19 innings, allowed just 11 hits and three runs. She struck out 17 batters and did not allow a walk.
