GANSEVOORT, N.Y. — The North Eastern Athletic Conference named Keuka College senior Shannon Johnson as their Softball Player of the Week on Monday.
Johnson had a big weekend for Keuka College, helping guide the Wolves to a 4-0 conference weekend. She started off game one against SUNY Poly with a pair of single and two RBIs for Keuka. She then delivered the big blast in game two, hitting a grand slam in the first inning. It was the first home run of her career.
On Sunday against Gallaudet University, Johnson went a combined 5-6 on the day with a pair of doubles. Johnson drove in four batters on the day and scored a pair herself. The four game hitting streak set a new career-high for the senior.
The Keuka College Softball team is on the road this week in a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheaders. The Wolves will play at SUNY Cobleskill on Tuesday and then at Cazenovia College on Friday.
