PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Keuka College Softball team was swept by #16 ranked St. John Fisher College on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals won the first game 2-0 and the second 8-0.
Keuka College (4-6) will return to action this weekend with a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheaders. The Green and Gold will host SUNY Poly on Saturday and SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday.
The Keuka College offense struggled against All-American pitcher Lindsey Thayer of St. John Fisher College. Samantha Blum singled to center in the seventh inning to break up the perfect game, but it was the only offense that Keuka could muster.
Starting pitcher Brianna Bush threw well for Keuka. The junior allowed just five hits and struck out four batters without walking one.
The nightcap played out much like the first game for Keuka. Nicole Wright provided the Green and Gold with their lone hit of the game. St. John Fisher scored in all but one inning on their way to the 8-0 victory in six innings.
