ALFRED, N.Y. – The Keuka College Cross Country teams competed on Friday afternoon at the Alfred State Invitational.
Both the men and the women ran the 5K course. The Keuka College Women's team finished second in the meet while the men's team did not have enough runners to qualify for the team standings.
For the women, Sophia Sheldon was the top runner finishing in fourth place with a time 24:21. She was followed by Paige Raulli and Bethany Pendl who finished in eighth and ninth place respectively. Overall, Keuka had 43 points as a team. Alfred State won the meet and Elmira College finished in third.
On the men's side, sophomore Mack Ottens was the top runner for Keuka. He crossed the finish line in 20:56, good for 13th place. Quentin Dandridge was the next to cross for Keuka in 19th place and Max Crystal finished in 23rd place for the Wolves
The team will have a quick turnaround as they run at SUNY Poly on Saturday.
