The Keuka College men's cross country team traveled to Rochester, N.Y. for Saturday's annual Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan College.
The Green and Gold placed 24th in a deep and talented field full of regionally-ranked cross country squads.
Senior Alex Pollinger (Arkport, N.Y./Arkport) was the top finisher for Keuka, completing the 8K course in a time of 29 minutes and 29 seconds, his second-fastest 8K time.
Pollinger finished 100th among scoring runners as Keuka scored 675 points.
Cortland placed four runners in the top 11 to win the team title with 40 points, edging Cornell University by two points.
Host Roberts Wesleyan was third (71), followed by Fredonia State (104), Molloy (196), SUNY ESF (215), Oswego State (222), St. Bonaventure (248), SUNY Geneseo (254) and the University of Rochester (298).
St. Thomas Aquinas was 11th with 348, followed by Gannon (373), Mercyhurst (375), Daemen (402), Le Moyne (440), Penn State-Altoona (465), Nazareth (504), Hobart (556), Bryant & Stratton (591), Finger Lakes Community College (610), Medaille (646), Mercyhurst North East (646), D'Youville (664), Keuka College and Hilbert College (765).
Sophomore Josh Langley (Watkins Glen, N.Y./Watkins Glen) was the Green and Gold's second-fastest finisher, completing the course in 30:14 to place 115th among scoring runners.
Freshman Cliff Stevens (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) was 148th with a time of 34:18, freshman Michael Desimone (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Odyssey) ran in 38:42, and classmate Trevor Alton (Hannibal, N.Y./Hannibal) raced in 41:36.
The competition featured 233 runners from 25 schools.
Keuka will next compete in the annual Cazenovia College Wildcat Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 4.
