Freshman Josh Langley (Watkins Glen, NY/Watkins Glen) ran his fastest 8K race of the season as the Keuka College men's cross country team placed 10th Saturday during the annual CCOC Championships at Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva, N.Y.
Langley, who has been the Storm's fastest student-athlete in all six meets, raced the 8K course in 29 minutes and 58 seconds, shaving 28 seconds off his previous season-best race time to place 38th out of 141 runners. He was one of four student-athletes to set season-best times during the race.
Keuka scored 299 points to finish 10th third out of 14 teams. SUNY ESF placed three runners in the top five and scored 37 points to win the team title. Clarkson was second (47 points), followed by SUNYIT (91), Penn State-Altoona (98), Hartwick (104), Hobart (174), Medaille (247), SUNY Canton (256), D'Youville (273), Keuka, Potsdam State (303), Morrisville State (321), Cazenovia (371) and Wells (386).
Sophomore Jonathon Moore (Nichols, NY/Tioga) placed 73rd after racing in 34:40 while senior Brian DelPino (Oneida, NY/Oneida) rounded out the Storm's scoring runners by placing 83rd by racing in 37:31.
Pollinger shaved 12 seconds off his previous season-best 8K time, Fogle trimmed 39 seconds off his previous fastest race while Moore shattered his previous fastest 8K race time.
The Green and Gold will take a week off before closing with the annual NEAC Championships (Nov. 2).
