Freshman Josh Langley (Watkins Glen, NY/Watkins Glen) capped the 2013 season with a 13th place finish during the annual North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championships, earning second-team All-NEAC honors as the Storm placed seventh Saturday in Marcy, N.Y.
Langley, the fastest Keuka finisher in all seven meets, completed the 8K course in a time of 29 minutes and 31 seconds to place 13th out of 63 runners as the Storm scored 176 points.
It was the fastest 8K effort this year for Langley, who shaved 27 seconds off his previous best time.
Host SUNYIT knocked off defending champion SUNY Cobleskill for the team title. SUNYIT placed five runners in the top nine finishers, scoring 27 points to knock off Cobleskill (54 points) for the championship.
Penn State-Abington was third with 72 points, followed by Penn State-Berks (98), Morrisville State (162), Lancaster Bible College (174), Keuka, Gallaudet (212), Cazenovia (236) and Wells College (246).
SUNYIT sophomore Derek Struck set a course record en route to the individual championship, completing the course in 26:33 to edge Cobleskill freshman Evan Quinones by nine seconds.
After Langley, junior Alex Pollinger (Arkport, NY/Arkport) placed 25th in 31:14, finishing as Keuka's second-fastest runner for the seventh time in seven races.
Junior Bobby Fogle (Lockport, NY/Lockport) was 32nd in 32:13, followed by sophomore Jonathon Moore (Nichols, NY/Tioga), who was 47th in 34:20; and senior Brian DelPino (Oneida, NY/Oneida), who was 59th in 40:44.
