Wolves Swept at Medaille

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team was swept in three sets on Sunday against Medaille College in a non-conference match.

Keuka College (9-7) was led in kills by freshman Brad McKnight with six. Christian Nickerson added nine digs and four blocks for the Wolves.

Medaille College 3 vs. Keuka College 0 – 25-22, 25-16, 25-20

Keuka College scored seven of eight points early on Sunday to take a 10-6 lead over the Mavericks. The Green and Gold would hold a lead down the stretch of the set, but the set would be tied late and Medaille closed it out 25-22.

The Mavericks led early in the second set and carried their lead throughout. Medaille College converted five of the final six points to take a 2-0 lead in the match, winning the second set 25-16.

After Christian Nickerson and Brad McKnight combined for a block on the opening point of the third set, Medaille College scored nine straight points to take control. The Wolves fought back late, cutting the margin to four, but it was not enough as the Mavericks won the third set 25-20, sweeping the match.

  • Keuka College falls to 0-10 all-time against Medaille College in men's volleyball
  • Medaille College created separation from the service line as the Mavericks finished with 13 aces and the Wolves finished with three
  • Kamren Record had 19 assists in the match. He surpassed 400 for the season and also passed Spencer Avery for sixth on the single-season list
  • Libero Seth Welker had five digs in the loss. The sophomore collected his 200th career dig on Sunday

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves return home next weekend for a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference matches. They will open on Friday against Lancaster Bible College. The Chargers are currently ranked 11th in the AVCA Division III Coaches Poll. Keuka College will then host Wilson College at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center on Saturday afternoon.
