Wolves Downed in Three at Nazareth College

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team lost a three-set match to hosts Nazareth College on Tuesday night in a non-conference matchup.

Keuka College (2-3) was led offensively by Brad McKnight with five kills. Kamren Record had 13 assists for the Wolves and Seth Welker added eight digs.

The Wolves held an early lead on Tuesday, but six unanswered points for the Golden Flyers flipped the set in their favor. Keuka College was able to stay in the set, using small service runs to narrow the margin, but the Nazareth College offense was too much. The Golden Flyers totaled 17 kills in the frame to take the opening set 25-23.

Despite Keuka College getting the opening point of the second set, the Golden Flyers controlled the frame. Nazareth scored the final seven points to win the second 25-11, taking a 2-0 lead in the match.

Nazareth College once again climbed to a lead behind efficient hitting. The Golden Flyers closed out the set with 13 kills and a .455 hitting percentage as they took the third 25-13, sweeping the match.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will open North Eastern Athletic Conference play this weekend with a pair of matches on the road. Keuka will begin the weekend on Saturday in New Jersey as they face the College of St. Elizabeth. Keuka College will then travel to SUNY Poly on Sunday to face the Wildcats.
