ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team fell on the road on Wednesday to the Rochester Institute of Technology by the score of 4-1.

The Tigers controlled the play early, pressuring the Keuka College goal. RIT had multiple corner kicks in the first 20 minutes, but were unable to break through. In the 22nd minute, Ryan Velte made a save on a free kick, but RIT was there to tap in the rebound for the 1-0 lead. Velte stood tall for the Wolves, making six saves in the first half as the game went to halftime with the Tigers holding a 1-0 lead.
RIT would extend their lead in the 56th minute in a similar fashion. A free kick would be stopped by now goaltender Ryan Mavretish, bur the Tigers hit home a rebound to double their lead. Just over a minute later, they made it 3-0, finishing a loose ball off of a corner. Keuka College pulled one back in the 67th minute as Abdikarim Maalo sprung Seth Spurgeon. The freshman finished for the goal, making it 3-1. That would be as close as Keuka College would make it, however, as the Tigers added a late goal on their way to the 4-1 victory.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will now prepare for a weekend tournament at Alfred University. Keuka College will play Mount Saint Mary in the opener. It will be the first meeting between the two schools. Kean University and the host Saxons will play in the other game.
