Keuka College Comeback Comes Up Short at Berks

READING, Pa. – The Keuka College Men's Soccer team lost on Sunday to Penn St.-Berks 3-2 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Keuka College (5-7-1, 4-3-1 NEAC) got goals from Samba Doukhansy and Chris Millard. Millard also assisted on Doukhansy's goal.

The host Nittany Lions struck first as they scored on a cross in the 28th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Keuka College would outshoot Berks 9-6 in the half and have a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks, but the Wolves were unable to tie the game as they went to halftime trailing.

Penn St.-Berks doubled their lead in the 65th as they hit home a loose ball in the box, but Keuka College had an answer. Chris Millard took the ball down the wing and crossed it to Samba Doukhansy in the box. The freshman slotted the ball into the far corner of the goal to draw one back for the Wolves, making it 2-1. Five minutes later, Berks took a two-goal lead back on a penalty kick, but Keuka did not stop fighting. Jordan Miller set up Chris Millard with a cross and Millard shot it to the left side to make it 3-2 with just under 11 minutes left to play. However, Keuka College would not be able to complete the comeback and net the equalizer as they fell to Penn St.-Berks 3-2 on Sunday.

Coming up for Keuka College: The Wolves return home on Wednesday, October 25 to host Wells College in the final regular season home game of the season. The Green and Gold played the Express to a scoreless draw last season.
