MARCY, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Soccer team took advantage of a second-half penalty kick to defeat SUNY Poly 2-1 on Saturday.

The Wolves struck first in the 14th minute on the road on Saturday. Off of a free kick, Joshua Card sent the ball in and found the head of Chris Millard. The sophomore buried the ball in the left side of the goal for a 1-0 Keuka College lead. Minutes later, SUNY Poly tied it up as a shot deflected off of a Keuka College defender and into the goal, making it 1-1. That score would hold until halftime.
In the second half, a free kick was sent into the box by Keuka College from midfield. In a battle for the ball, Jared Burns was pulled down from behind in the box, resulting in a penalty kick for Keuka College. Senior Sean Pasono stepped up and finished his shot to the left side to give Keuka the lead in the 71st minute. The Wolves held on for the 2-1 conference victory on Saturday.
- The Wolves have now won four straight against SUNY Poly. Keuka College holds the all-time series at 8-7-3
- Keuka College has not missed a penalty kick since October 2015
- The Wolves only had two shots on goal on Saturday, scoring on both attempts
- Christopher Spaulding made six saves in the win for Keuka
Coming up for Keuka College: The Wolves have a week off before hosting Penn St.-Abington next Saturday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. Keuka College defeated Abington 4-1 last November in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Semi-Finals.
