KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Soccer used three first half goals to pace a 5-2 victory over Lancaster Bible College on Friday night at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
The Wolves (7-2-3, 5-1-3 NEAC) will remain at home on Saturday as they host Penn St.-Berks in a conference game.
Rachid Blanken continued his hot play with a pair of goals on Friday. Paulin Kolodja had a goal and an assists for the Wolves. Adding goals for the Green and Gold was Edler de Castro and Claude Tuyishimire.
Keuka College opened the game with the Chargers quickly. Chris Millard found Paulin Kolodja on the far post. The senior hit it back across the goal for the 1-0 lead 2:54 into the game. The Wolves added to their lead when Kolodja crossed the ball to Rachid Blanken who scored his team leading seventh goal of the season. With less than a minute before halftime, Edler de Castro gave the Wolves a 3-0 lead. He let a strike fly from distance that found the back of the net, giving Keuka a 3-0 halftime lead.
The Green and Gold added to their lead in the 55th minute. Claude Tuyishimire got the ball about 30 yards from goal. He let a long curving shot go that found the upper right corner for the 4-0 lead. Lancaster Bible hung around with a pair of goals, but Rachid Blanken's second goal of the game in the 85th minute put the game away as Keuka would defeat Lancaster Bible College 5-2.
