Men’s Soccer Draws with Wilson College

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Keuka College Men's Soccer game against Wilson College ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Wolves (4-2-3, 2-1-3 NEAC) return home on Saturday, hosting the College of St. Elizabeth at 1pm.

Senior, Rachid Blanken had the lone goal for the Wolves today. Keuka's goalie, Willie Romero had three saves, and Paulin Kolodja had four shots on goal.

The first half was evenly contested, and neither team was able to score a goal. Keuka got past the Phoenix defense on a number of occasions, and had several shots on target. Wilson's goalie, Dan Perry, had a strong game and was able to save five shots in the half and twelve for the entire game.

The Wolves were finally able to get on the board, in the second half. A rebound deflected off of Wilson's goalie, and Blanken was able to control the ball and score the goal for the Wolves. Unfortunately, the Phoenix quickly responded with a goal of their own four minutes later. That goal would be the final one of the afternoon as neither, Keuka or Wilson, was able to get a shot to go in. After two hardly fought overtime periods, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
