WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Keuka College Men's Soccer team picked up their second conference win of the season, by defeating Gallaudet University by a score of 2-1.
Keuka College (4-2-2, 2-1-2 in the NEAC) completes their weekend on Sunday, playing Wilson College in a conference match. Due to field conditions at Wilson College, the game will be played at Mercersburg Academy.
The Bison capitalized on a shot attempt early in the first half, and jumped out to an early 1-0 lead over the Wolves. After the opening goal, Keuka picked up their defensive intensity and dominated possession for the majority of the game. The green and gold had several good looks at the net, and Curran was eventually able to capitalize on a pass from Tuyishimire. That goal, at the midway point in the half, was Keuka's only other score in the first period.
The second half, was much like the first, and the Keuka defense was able to hold off Gallaudet from scoring another goal. Kolodja found Curran for his second goal of the afternoon, and Keuka was able to hold on for a 2-1 win.
