MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Soccer team fell on Saturday afternoon to Morrisville State College 4-2 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference match.
Keuka College (3-2-2, 1-1-2 NEAC) next travel to Washington, DC on Saturday to face Gallaudet University.
The Mustangs came out strong, forcing Willie Romero into three saves in the opening 10 minutes. Morrisville State got on the board first in the 29th minute. Six minutes later, they added to their lead with a second goal. Just minutes after that, Keuka cut into the lead with a goal by Tuyishimire. Paulin Kolodja took a direct kick and found the freshman for his fourth goal of the season. That would close the scoring for the half as Morrisville State led 2-1 at the break.
Three goals were scored in the opening 15 minutes of the second half. Morrisville State grew their lead to 3-1 in the 55th minute. In the 59th , Keuka made it a one goal game once again. Paulin Kolodja ripped a shot off the crossbar. The Mustangs misplayed an attempted clear and Chris Millard hit the loose ball home to make it 3-2. Just minutes later, however, Morrisville State scored again to regain their two-goal margin on their way to the 4-2 victory over Keuka College.
