Sophomore Preston Vick (Kendall, NY/Kendall) made seven saves, but the Keuka College men's soccer team couldn't score and suffered a 4-0 loss to Wells College Wednesday evening at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
The Storm (4-5-1, 0-4 NEAC) fell after being outshot 16-11 by the Express (7-2-2, 2-0-2).
The Green and Gold had two good looks on goal early on, and freshman Leandro Curran (New York, NY/Westlake) sent an 18-yard shot towards the upper center portion of the goal, but C.J. Bayly leapt and punched the shot high over the bar in the 16th minute.
Wells broke through with a goal in the 34th minute when Max Cherry scored, and the teams headed into intermission with the Express leading 1-0.
The Express took a 2-0 lead on a goal by Hunter Sowersby with 29:01 remaining in regulation, and tacked on two goals ninety seconds apart late in the half to remain perfect in conference play.
Keuka had nine corner kicks compared to eight for the Express, who had Bayly stop all eight Storm shots for his third shutout of the year.
The Storm have two more home games remaining, at 1 p.m. Saturday vs. Morrisville State and then again at 7 p.m. Tuesday night against Alfred State, which will serve as Parents' and Senior Night.
