AURORA, N.Y. — An eight-goal first quarter paced an 18-7 victory by the Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team over hosts Wells College on Wednesday.

An early penalty by Wells College gave the Wolves the advantage and they would capitalize with Bellanca netting a man-up goal less than two minutes into the game. Connor Cupp would then pour it on for the Green and Gold as the freshman scored the next four goals. Those were followed by two more by Bellanca as Keuka led 7-0. Wells got on the board with three minutes left in the quarter, but Dan Blaessig answered with a tally as the Wolves led 8-1 after the first.
Wells College got the opening goal of the second quarter, but the Wolves scored three straight to push the lead to 11-2. The Express snapped the run with a goal but Keuka led 11-3 at the break.
The Wolves put the game away in the third quarter. Coming off the halftime break, Keuka College scored the first six goals of the second half to push their lead to 17-3. Wells closed the third with two goals, but the Wolves carried a 17-5 lead into the final quarter.
The fourth was a low-scoring frame as the Wolves played with a lead. Wells would outscore Keuka 2-1 in the last 15 minutes, but Keuka College defeated Wells College 18-7.
