Senior Mike Donals (Livonia, NY/Livonia) scored a career-high eight goals to power the Keuka College men's lacrosse team to a 23-6 win over SUNY Cobleskill Saturday afternoon in Cobleskill, N.Y.
Senior Connor Latimer (Whitby, Ont./Father Leo J. Austin) added seven points on four goals and three assists as Keuka College scored 20 or more goals for the second straight game.
Donals, who entered the game with one goal in the Storm's (8-0, 4-0 NEAC) first seven games, exploded for a career-high eight goals in the win. He scored six of the Storm's first 12 goals while sophomore Matt Beebe (Syracuse, NY/LaFayette) tallied three goals with three assists and junior James Voigt (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan) added 4 groundballs, 2 goals and 3 assists as the Storm remained undefeated.
Freshman Jacob Wood (Marietta, NY/Auburn) started in goal and made five saves in 50 minutes of action to improve to 3-0. Classmate Jacob Hinshaw (Oswego, NY/Oswego) made one save in the final 10 minutes of action.
Latimer scored four goals, Donals added a pair of goals and Voigt, King and Kuppel each added tallies as the Storm took a 9-2 lead into the second quarter.
Donals added three goals, Voigt scored twice and Latimer and Beebe each found the back of the net to stake the Green and Gold to a 16-3 halftime lead.
The Storm, the three-time defending NEAC postseason champions, host Wells College at 4 p.m. Monday.
