LATHAM, N.Y. — The coaches of the North Eastern Athletic Conference named Keuka College junior James Barnes Second Team All-North Eastern Athletic Conference on Thursday.
Barnes was the only selection from the Wolves and is the highest selection since Casey Williams was named to the second team in 2016.
James Barnes had one of the ten best scoring seasons in Keuka College's 35-year men's basketball history. He totaled 407 points this year, tying for ninth-best in school history. Barnes did a lot of his work in traffic, which resulted in going to the free throw line. He made 110 on the year, ranking both second-best in the conference and in the Keuka College record book. In total, Barnes averaged 17.7 points per game, sixth-best in the league. His averaged was also the sixth best in scoring history and the highest in the last 20 years.
The production continued for Barnes on the boards as he ranked eighth in the NEAC in offensive rebounding and led Keuka College with 140 rebounds this year.
The Wolves finished the 2019-20 season with a 7-16 record, missing the playoffs. However, the Green and Gold did send the year out on a high-note, winning their last two games of the year on Keuka's home floor.
