Wolves Fall to Terriers on the Hardwood

AURORA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost to Hiram College 94-74 on Sunday in the Wells College Tournament.

James Barnes led Keuka College (0-2) with 25 points on his way to being named to the all-tournament team. Devin Milton scored 11 for the Wolves and Nana Oteng added 10 in the loss.

Hiram College 94 vs. Keuka College 74

Keuka College took the lead early on against Hiram and played with a lead for the opening minutes. Elijah Smalls drilled a three for the Wolves midway through the first as the Green and Gold opened a 10-point lead over -Hiram at 27-17. The Terriers would flip the switch on their offense, however. Hiram erased the deficit within three minutes and would outscored Keuka 31-8 over the final 10 minutes. The Wolves trailed 48-35 at the half.

Hiram would continue to push their lead in the second. Another three by Smalls cut the margin to 10 points at 56-46, but Hiram hit a three to answer. 10 points would be as close as Keuka would make it in the second half. Hiram would continue onto the 94-74 victory over Keuka College on Sunday.

  • The Keuka College bench outscored Hiram's bench 39-24
  • It was the first time that the Wolves allowed 90 points in back-to-back games since the 2006-07 season

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves return to action next weekend with their home opener at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center. Keuka College will welcome Pitt.-Bradford onto David M. Sweet Court on Saturday, November 16. Tipoff between the Wolves and the Panthers is set for 1pm.
