Field Hockey Sweeps NEAC Awards

LATHAM, N.Y. — After winning their first North Eastern Athletic Conference game of the season, the Keuka College Field Hockey team swept the weekly conference awards.

Shelby Lamb was named NEAC Player of the Week while goalie Kassidy Valentine earned her second NEAC Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

Lamb netted her first goal of the season on Saturday, opening the scoring for the Wolves against Morrisville State. She joins a group of five other Wolves to tally a goal this season. As a team, Keuka leads the NEAC in scoring this season.

Kassidy Valentine's week start as she kept Elmira College off the scoreboard through regulation, recording six saves. The Soaring Eagles eventually downed the Wolves in overtime. Valentine bounced back with a strong performance against Morrisville State. The senior made three saves in 40+ minutes of shutout play to earn the win. Valentine's 3.32 goals against average leads the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

The Wolves are in action tonight as Keuka College travels to Pennsylvania to face King's College at 7pm.
