GANSEVOORT, N.Y.— For the second week in a row, Keuka College's Kassidy Valentine has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference's Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week.
The Wolves began last week with their home opener against Houghton College. Valentine made 12 saves in just under 60 minutes of action, only conceding a pair of goals to the Highlanders. On Saturday, the sophomore was in goal for Keuka in their 2-1 overtime victory over Drew University. Valentine recorded five saves in earning the first victory of her career.
Kassidy Valentine ranks second in the North Eastern Athletic Conference with 41 saves, a .820 save percentage, and a 2.06 goals against average. Through four games, she is averaging 10.25 saves per game, ranking 22nd nationally.
Keuka College travels to Pennsylvania this weekend to face Juniata College on Saturday, September 16 in their lone game of the week.
