Alyssa Orsino Named NEAC Player of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y.— Keuka College sophomore Alyssa Orsino was honored on Tuesday as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week.

The Keuka College Field Hockey team earned their first win of the season this past weekend and Orsino was a big part of it. The sophomore gave Keuka a 1-0 lead over Wells College 20 minutes in, converting a penalty stroke. She later added to the lead with a goal with eight minutes left to give the Wolves a two-goal cushion, 3-1. It was the first multi-goal game in program history for Keuka College Field Hockey.

Orsino has been key to Keuka College's offense this season. She has scored six of the Wolves' nine goals. Her six goals and 12 total points sets a new season record for the two-year old field hockey program.

The six goals by Alyssa Orsino ties her for second in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. She also is in a tie for fourth place in total points.

The Wolves will conclude their 2016 season on Wednesday. Keuka College will host SUNY Geneseo at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex at 4pm.
