PINE VALLEY, N.Y. -- The Keuka College Competitive Cheerleading team rounded out the 2018-19 season with a first place finish at the Upstate Collegiate Cheerleading Championship hosted by Elmira College.  The Wolves edged out Coed Advanced Division 2 and 3 competitor, Gannon University, by 1.53 points.  Keuka College finished with a 79.58 over Gannon University's 78.05.

The Wolves hit a near perfect routine, finishing with a .75 deduction for one stunt mistake.  Since their last competition the team has increased its difficulty in both the stunting and basket toss categories.  Basket tosses and jumps were the highest scoring areas on the scoresheet.

Keuka College's raw score, before deductions, was an 80.33.  Gannon University had the higher raw score, an 82.80, but after suffering a 4.75 points in deductions, the Wolves were able to come out on top.

The Upstate Collegiate Cheerleading Championships concluded the Wolves competition season for 2019.  The team is coming off a win at the Battle at the Capitol.  The Wolves are in their fifth season as a competitive varsity sport at Keuka College and look forward to continuing to build their skillset and difficulty, and adding more competitions to their regional schedule in upcoming years.  Full results from the Upstate Collegiate Cheerleading Championships are below:
