Jeff Bray has served as Keuka College’s Head Athletic Trainer since July of 1992. He oversees the athletic training needs of Keuka’s 18 intercollegiate sports teams and has taped thousands of student-athletes and professional athletes during a career that, among other stops, has seen him work the sidelines of NFL games, alongside pit crews for assorted auto racing events across the world, and behind the bucking chutes at top-flight bull riding competitions.
Bray, who also serves as Keuka’s Associate Athletic Director, often travels with the Wolves' teams to provide the best training possible for Keuka’s student-athletes.
A native of Sterling, Kansas, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University (’87) and obtained his master’s degree in education from Boise State University (’90). Bray is a certified athletic trainer who has been certified by the Board of Certification. He is also registered with the New York State Department of Education and is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and the New York State Athletic Trainers Association.
Bray’s training career has seen him work as a student athletic trainer at Kansas State, an assistant athletic trainer at Boise State, a head football trainer at Illinois State and a four-year stint as an assistant athletic trainer with the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL.
He has also worked with NASCAR, Indy Car Series, American Le Mans Series and Professional Bullriders.
Bray’s influence on Keuka’s student-body is not limited to the various playing fields. Bray also serves as an adjunct instructor and teaches two sports management classes.
Each fall, as part of their senior class projects, Bray’s sports management students organize the annual Attack of the Pack pep rally, a raucous affair that provides a first look at the men’s and women’s basketball teams to the campus and neighboring communities.
Bray currently resides in nearby Penn Yan with wife, Kristen. Jeff has a son, Tyler, who attends the University of Pittsburgh and a daughter Kelly, who attends Canisius College.
