Keuka College Releases 2019 Schedules

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — As the 2018-19 school year is underway at Keuka College, the Department of Athletics has released the schedules for all sports playing in the winter and spring of 2019.

The action will get underway with Men's Volleyball as they open their season on Saturday, January 26 at a tri-match at Wilkes University. The Wolves will open their home schedule on Valentine's Day as they welcome Wells College to the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center for an NEAC match. The first weekend of March will feature the annual Keuka College Invitational with Keuka College playing four matches over three days. The regular season will close for the Wolves hosting a tri-match against St. Elizabeth and Cairn. The final match of the day against Cairn will be the annual Parents' and Senior Day with special ceremonies happening prior to the match.

The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team is the next team in action, opening their season at home against Alfred State on February 23. The Wolves will then play three straight on the road before returning home a month later to face Oswego State on March 23. Keuka will play their first North Eastern Athletic Conference game at home on April 6 against SUNY Cobleskill. The season will close with a rematch with Morrisville State at home on Saturday, April 27. The Wolves and the Mustangs have met in each of the last six North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournaments. Keuka College won the first two meetings but the Mustangs have taken the last four.

The Women's Lacrosse team will be used to their home field as they play nine of their 13 games at home on the turf at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. The Green and Gold play six games in the month of March, all at home. The Wolves open the season with Houghton College on Saturday, March 9. March ends with a rematch with Medaille College. The Mustangs handed Keuka their only two losses last season. The home slate for the Wolves closes on Saturday, April 20 with their annual Parents' and Senior Day. Following the pregame ceremony, Keuka College will take on SUNY Poly in a key North Eastern Athletic Conference matchup.

The same weekend women's lacrosse opens; the Keuka College Softball team will be in action on their annual trip to Virginia Beach to play in the Beach Bash. The first game north for the Wolves will be a difficult doubleheader at St. John Fisher College on March 21. Two days later, Keuka opens its home schedule with Alfred University. Conference play beings at Wells College for the Wolves on March 28. They will host SUNY Poly two days later on Saturday, March 30. April 6 will see Keuka College traveling to Reading, Pa. to face Penn St.-Berks. The Wolves and the Nittany Lions have met in each of the last three NEAC Championship Games. Parents' Day for Keuka College will be on Saturday, April 20 against Wells College. Senior Day will be the following Wednesday as the Wolves host Nazareth College on April 24 in their final home doubleheader of the regular season.

The Keuka College Baseball team will see a change to their schedule in 2019. The conference has switched to three-game series for all of their matchups. Something that will be unchanged is the start of the season. Keuka will once again escape the New York winter for sunny Florida for their annual spring trip. Keuka will return home and jump right into conference play with three games at SUNY Cobleskill on March 30 and 31. The first games at Kuhl Field will be on Wednesday, April 3 as they Wolves host Clarks Summit University for a doubleheader. The home NEAC schedule will kick in that weekend with three games against Penn College. The regular season will close in May for Keuka College as they host Cazenovia College for three games. During the doubleheader with the Wildcats on May 4, Keuka College will hold their annual Parents' and Senior Day celebration.

Also returning to action in the spring will be the Men's and Women's Golf teams as well as for the first time the Keuka College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams. Both golf teams will play in a handful of tournaments in April with the men gearing up for the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship at the end of the month. The inaugural schedule for the track and field teams is still being developed.
