Freshman Nana Oteng was named Keuka College Student Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Oteng had a strong week as the Wolves earned their first North Eastern Athletic Conference victory of the season. Nana Oteng averaged 11.7 points per game for the week. He opened with 12 points, 2 rebounds, and an assist at home against Alfred University. He then carried that into the weekend with a trip to Lancaster Bible College and Gallaudet University. On the road at Lancaster Bible, Oteng scored 10 points and added a career-high eight rebounds against the Chargers. Oteng wrapped up with week at Gallaudet University with 13 points and two assists leading Keuka to a 85-77 victory.
On the season, Oteng is leading all freshmen and second on the team averaging 10.4 points per game. The Queens, N.Y. native stepped his game up against conference play, averaging a team-best 14.3 points per game against league opponents. He is also averaging near two rebounds more in conference games this season.
The Wolves remain on the road on Wednesday, playing at SUNY Cobleskill. Keuka College will then return home to the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center on Saturday to host Cazenovia College at 1pm.
